Tasting notes
A pale golden in the glass. Scents of tropical fruits with hints of creaminess. On the palate vibrant and fresh with notes of honeydew melon and citrus fruits. The finish is long and refreshing. An excellent accompaniment to fish and seafood. Try with crab soufflé, spaghetti con le vongole (with clams, garlic and parsley) or roasted spiny lobster with garlic and breadcrumbs (Ammollicata.)

Fiano di Avellino

Guido Marsella established his estate in 1995. Based in the town of Summonte in the Campania region of southern Italy, there are 10 hectares of 20 year-old vines in total, planted approximately 700 metres above sea level on volcanic soils. Guido’s wines sprang to prominence when Paolo Massobrio and Marco Gatti, two well-respected food and wine journalists, selected this particular Fiano among the best 100 wines in Italy. From 100% Fiano grapes, this floral and aromatic white is fermented in stainless steel tanks before bottling and is retained in the cellar for 18 months before release, ensuring that the wine’s natural characteristics come to the fore.
