Aperol

The King of aperitivo, Aperol is a classic rhubarb and gentian flavoured aperitif, commonly consumed as part of a Spritz. Aperol, whose name comes from the slang for aperitif, apero, dates back to 1919, however it only gained popularity after World War II. It is similar to Campari in taste and sweetness, but is less bitter and lower ABV.
