Nebbiolo IGT Alpi Retiche "Stabia"
Alpi Retiche IGT Stabia is a fine and complex red wine produced using 95% Nebbiolo and the remaining part of Rossola, Brugnola and other places in Valtellina. The grapes are harvested by hand, while the alcoholic fermentation occurs spontaneously in a concrete tank. The bottling, without filtration, takes place 4 or 5 years after the harvest, after having aged in wooden barrels.
The Dossi Eretici Agricultural Company, created in 2000 by Bruno Cedaro, is located on the southern Valtellinese side of the Alps; a niche area for its warm microclimate in an alpine context, which allows the cultivation of late vine varieties such as nebbiolo and other local such as rossola, marzemino and others. The Company’s goal is to cultivate the land in the least invasive way possible, producing a product with an inseparable link with the land from which it is born. Here a synergy between climatic components and soils of a different nature push the vines to the limit, lengthening the vegetative cycle and obtaining the best in quality.
