The Pecorino is greeny-yellow and has a pleasant floral nose with clean, pleasing and refined aromas of banana, broom, apple, hazelnut and plum followed by a hint of vanilla. The mouth follows the nose, a slightly round attack however balanced, agreeable crispness, good body and intense flavours. A prime candidate for seafood, risotto or grilled cheese.
Offida Pecorino “Le Merlettaie”
Ciu Ciu Pecorino Le Merlettaie, floral, rounded, grassy organic Italian white. The Ciu Ciu Pecorino has a beautiful deep straw-yellow and some intense, persistent and grassy scent with some hawthorn blossoms aroma and vanilla perfume. It offers you a delicate and fresh flavour, agreeable and soft to the palate. An ideal wine for something like a seafood risotto or grilled cheese.
The farm was established in 1970 in Contrada Ciafone (Offida area) and is under now the direction of the Bartolomei brothers, Massimiliano and Walter who make their wines using Organic viticulture.
