Chianti Classico
The organically-run Fattorio Rodano is a top source for complex, classically made Chianti and is said to be one of the region’s best kept secrets. Located in Castellina in the heart of Tuscany, halfway between Siena and Florence, the 100-hectare estate dates back as a wine-producing property to the 16th century and has belonged to the Pozzesi family since that time. The current head of the family, Vittorio Pozzesi has been in charge of the estate since they first began to bottle wine on their own in 1967. He is currently aided in the management of the winery by his son Enrico and the domaine’s winemaker, Guilio Gambelli. In addition to his activities running Fattoria di Rodáno, Vittorio Pozzesi is also the head of the growers’ organization for the Chianti Classico region.
