Deep bright dark red colour with black tinged edges and a purple red hue. Aromas of fresh red plums and Morello cherries infused with herbs sit over hints of inky earth. Vibrant Morello cherry and red plum flavours are supported by a chewy tannin base and crunchy like acidity. Earth, dried herbs and spice sit underneath the bright red fruits. Dry finish with a spicy aftertaste of Morello cherries, red plums, earth and dried herb infusions.
Langhe Nebbiolo “Rosso di Rocca” DOC
A purchase in 2016 of a vineyard in Magliano Alfieri, a municipality on the left side of the river Tanaro, gave birth to this nwe version of Nebbiolo. The result was a highly fragrant red wine, with young friut and flower aromas, fresh flavors that are ready to enjoy at many different occasions.
Area of origin: Magliano Alfieri, and a small part of some barbaresco parcels
Exposure: South in Magliano Alfieri and East in Barbaresco
Soil: marl, in some spots limestone mixed with sand
Grape varuety: Nebbiolo 97 % and Cabernet Franc 3 %
Planting Year: between 1967 and 2002
Average annual production: about 9000 bottles of 0.75L
