Antonio Camillo worked for 15 years as cellar master in some of the most important estates in Maremma, Tuscany. 8 years ago he bought two vineyards totalling 5 hectares in the area between Sovana and Pitigliano on the border with Lazio. He makes organic reds and whites from local native grapes including this juicy blend of Sangiovese and Morellino grapes grown high in the hills of Maremma at 600 metres above sea level. Aged for 6 months in cement vats, this is a robust and rustic red which pairs well with game dishes.
